Deciding upon the correct level of protection for a variety of medical and surgical procedures can be tricky, buts it critically important to get it right. To help you make the right choice, ask yourself these FOUR key questions:
1. What type of procedure is being performed?
2. How long will the procedure last?
3. How much fluid will be present during the case?
4. What is the clinicians role in the procedure?
Ensure your teams are properly protected, whatever the procedure. Our gowns come in four protection levels which are clearly colour-coded on packaging to ensure ease of use. The five levels of protection are:
LEVEL 1 - Standard Protection (suitable for low fluid surgeries).
LEVEL 2 - Reinforced Protection (suitable for low to medium fluid surgeries).
LEVEL 3 - Zone Protection (the critical zone (i.e. abdomen & sleeves) have panels of impervious fabric; these gowns are usually suitable for procedures that involve significant volumes of fluid (e.g. transplants) providing maximum protection.
LEVEL 4 - Wet Procedure Protection (an impervious apron from sternum to the base of the gown. Suitable for high fluid procedures e.g. Urology).
LEVEL 5 - Breathable Protection (Only featured with our Supercool gown. An impervious all-over protection made fom a breathable material to maximise comfort.).
